This year, the WACADA conference was held at UW-Platteville from September 13 to September 14, 2018, with the slogan of “eMbrace Advising – helping students to drift less.” Tim Dale, Associate Professor of Political Science and Public Administration at UW-La Crosse, was the conference keynote speaker, presenting on the topic of “Finding Big Pieces of the Student Success Puzzle: Belonging, Mindset, and Resilience.”

As always, the conference was a time for us to recharge our energy through presentations, learning best practices, and networking. A special thanks goes to the WACADA Planning Committee for all their hard work in planning, implementing, and accomplishing another successful conference. Furthermore, we extend a thank you to Tim Dale for his wonderful presentation, and all of those that presented at the conference and contributed to the hot topics sessions. Without our strong, energetic, and committed WACADA members, our organization would not be what it is.
