Job Description
The Division of Diversity, Equity & Educational Achievement (DDEEA), the central convener and leader for campus-wide equity, diversity, inclusion, and belonging outcomes at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, is seeking a visionary leader to serve as Director of the Mercile J. Lee Scholars Program (MJLSP). A successful candidate in this role will lead and manage institutional-level strategic visioning, academic support initiatives, student engagement opportunities, and career-oriented programming, serving academically talented students from a myriad of underrepresented backgrounds at UW-Madison.

The Director leads a team of individuals that approach student development from a holistic perspective, centering leadership, community building, commitment to scholarship, and service engagements as a guiding framework. The director strategically oversees day-to-day operations and implementation of programming (curricular and co-curricular), manages the unit’s budget, collaborates with stakeholders to attain key development goals, while working closely and reporting to the Assistant Vice Provost for Student Engagement and Scholarship Programs.
