The successful candidate will be responsible for the coordination of advising initiatives within the College of Arts and Communication and will oversee the College graduation review process. The Advising Coordinator will work collaboratively with students, staff, and faculty to provide complex advising evaluations as well as assessment of completed academic plans. These duties may involve the interpretation of policies, procedures and requirements of various degree programs. Additionally, this role will support and provide guidance to students in keeping with best practices and in alignment with the individuals’ goals, interests, and skills.
This newly developed position calls for a value-driven individual who has excellent verbal and written communication skills and a demonstrated ability to work with diverse student populations. The ability to manage and coordinate schedules, effectively collaborate with stakeholders at every level and a strong interest in the arts and communication disciplines align with this role. Minimum qualifications include, but are not limited to, a Master’s degree at the time of application and two or more years of experience in higher education.
